Vines for Wines is closing down

Trellis material sales will continue until stock is exhausted … when it’s gone it’s gone!

Glass and plastic wine making equipment is available and has to go - no reasonable offer will be refused for equipment collected from my location which is 5 minutes from junction 10 on the M25 (A3 junction).

If it is not on the list, please try me because I have a number of other small items that are not listed and you may be lucky.

Please use the ‘Contact Jack’ form to check availability.

Data Logger

Thanks to a generous father’s day gift of a miniature data logger, I will be monitoring the temperature and relative humidity on an hourly basis. The data will be published on this site (hopefully on a monthly basis) but definitely at the end of the growing season.

As the data logger is just a good stone’s throw from the RHS at Wisley it can be regarded as supplemental data and aggregated with any data from there.

Please note that the instrument has not been calibrated and is not in a British Standard meteorology cabinet so the accuracy is not guaranteed but the ups and downs will certainly be relevant.

Jacob’s Creek Competition

You may have seen a competition run by Jacob’s Creek in some recent publications.

The competition winners will be given a Valentine’s gift set which includes a bottle of Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Rose, a wine guide (”The View From Our Place”) and a Seyval Blanc vine supplied by Vines For Wines and neatly presented in a red, Valentine’s Day tube.

If you have just won one and are new to growing vines, you may find some of the learn pages on this site are useful.
